newnew writes "I have been pulling my hairs on this for a couple days. The thing is :I have SQL 2000 Developer edition (both client and server tools)installed on my computer. And I have 4 SQL registrations under my enterprise Manager, one is local on my computer, one is SQL 2000 Developer Edition on one computer at office. I can manager this two SQL database with my Enterprise manager without any problem. And I have another SQL 2000 Developer installed in another office. With Enterprise Manager, I can register this SQL server. But When i try to open database folder on this server, it freeze EM. Microsoft says this a bug and have it fixed with SQL Server service package 3. see: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q282/4/16.ASP&NoWebContent=1But after I installed the service package, it still does not work. thanks,"

Where did you install the Service Pack? On the client or the server? Run "SELECT @@Version" and make sure you are running the correct (SP3a) version on the client.-Chadhttp://www.clrsoft.comSoftware built for the Common Language Runtime.

Does it ever unfreeze? Sometimes if the server has too many databases, it could take some time to open up.Tara
