| Normally the db backup takes 10-15 minutes, has been taking that long for last two months. Last night, it took 10 hours before we cancelled it. I cannot find anything in the SQL logs, job history or maintenance plan history on why it took so long.Any ideas on what might cause the back up to take so much longer one night? Any ideas on what (additional) logging I can turn on in case it happens again.Thanks. |

| Sounds like it had crashed unless there was some networky thing blocking it.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
