Hi,

I am not able to see the databases in the enterprise manager. The current activity tell tht, one of the database is continuously recovering. on running the command 'sp_who', the process id 10 says, its awaiting command. Few processes are blocked on the server.
How do we sort this out?

Thanx

You can wait for the recovery to finish, the log file should tell you the percentage completeness, or you can shut down the server, and delete or move the offended database LDF and MDF files, and then restore that from backup.

Wait for it to finish recovering. It must be doing a huge rollback or something like that. You have to let it finish. I've seen a database take over an hour to complete. This was on a server that had databases over 100GB. Typically they came up quick, but someone had rebooted the server in the middle of a massive delete.

I guess you didn't mind the data loss then.
