i have heard that Sql jobs can be trigerred from the windows application log and wanted to know if its possible that when i get a mail with the file the exchange server write to the windows application log and the entry in the log trigerrs my sql jobs based on file names"

If you do get a lot of files in emails, triggering the job might not be such a good idea as you could end up with too many jobs executing small requests. You'd be better off scheduling the job to run periodically, checking for new mails and parsing all the new files in one go.
