 mssql shows 500000 recs in a table where it has only 100 , why?

finch writes "I have a table which I delete records frequently and now it shows that it has 500000 records, in fact it has only 100 records, will it be a problem for sql server to read from this table, why? Will it occupy a lot of disk space?"
