Steve writes "Hi

I have two domains with a PIX firewall in between the two. One is an internal network and the other is a Demiliterised Zone. A SQL Server v7 server sits on either side.

What I want to know is how do I get the SQL Server on the Internal Network access the SQL Server on the DMZ network. There can be no NT trusts between the two networks as the DMZ is Internet linked.

I have tried allowing the PIX firewall to only allow PORT 1433 for the NIC address of the machine on the DMZ but when I go to link the server as a linked server it timesout. I can PING the DMZ server but cannot connect.

Any help would be wonderful.

Thanks

Steve Farmer"
