Hi,
Is there a way to alias a table located in another database (Sybase) and use it later within MS SQL server as a "normal" table?
Thanks, Paul

There is a Sybase data source as standard in the Linked Server options for SQL Server 2000. You could setup the linked server and refer to the table you are interested in using T-SQL code using the four part naming convention [SybaseServer].[Database].[Owner].{Table]. What you mean by "normal" has to be qualified with what Sybase supports in terms of DML, I am totally unfamiliar with Sybase so can't comment!
