Hello frens,

here is one interseting puzzle to solve.

I have a situation where I have 4 non clustered indexes on a table, which is the main transaction table, the current Scan density the DBCC SHOWCONTIG is showing is 40%, I want to make it 100% by rebuilding the indexs by using DBCC DBREINDEX, but the even after doing a dbcc dbreindex the value does not change and indexes are rebuilt, the Fill Factor settings are default.

Please solve this if u can :).

Regards,
Debug

BOL also recommends DBCC INDEXDEFRAG as a way to defrag indexes.

It could. That's yet another reason to have a clustered index on every table. The reindex of the clustered index insures the data is reordered each time.
