| Lloyd Holloway writes "I have been running perfmon to monitor our raid 5 configuration on one of drives (10 disks) I am a tad confused as to how the perfmon counter: "% Disk Read Time" can have values consitently in the 500 to 700 range. It's my understanding that this number should be around 55... most of the other counters are within normal ranges... it's somewhat confusing... any ideas?" |

| I too was confused by this, until I read somewhere that the percentage shown must be divided by the number of spindles (drives) in the array. So if you have 10 drives in the array, the actual use is 50-70%. |
