| Nathan writes "What is the best tool (MS or third party) for determining which databases are using the most resources, specifically CPU and Memory? There seem to be lots of ways of looking at specific SQL statements or stored procedures but I can't find anything that will produce a simple graph with CPU on the left and individual Databases on the bottom. Thanks,Nathan NesjeMerrill Corporation" |

| ??? Performance Monitor. You can't track it to individual databases though. Processes take up memory and CPU, not databases. You need to combine Perfmon with Profiler to get a good picture.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA. |
