Hello all,
i was wondering if it is better to have a table with 4 colums and many rows OR 28 columns and fewer rows. Which is handled better by SQL server and easier to maintain?

Skinny and tall is better. So fewer columns with lots of data.

well it depend on what kind of data you hold... follow the rules of normalization.
what do you want to do?
