Mike writes "I'm using Disk Xtender 2000 which was made by OTG Software then Legato and now EMC. I have SQL 2000 on an NT 4.0 PC. I have a 38 gig .ldf file which is OTG03.ldf and a 2 gig mdf file which is OTG03.mdf I'm running out of hard drive space. Is there a way that I can shrink the .ldf file? I'm not a DBA so if you would be specific it would greatly be appreciated as is all help."

This topic has been discussed many many times, use the search feature and type SHRINK LOG and you should find the answer you need.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
