The server is set to dynamically allocate memory.
Yesterday, it was noticed that SQL Server had allocated all but 8mb of memory and NT was struggling to run.
After a reboot of the server, performance monitor shows the Buffer Cache Hit ratio at 0. I expected this number to rise as the cache buffer was filled, but after 24 hours it is still at 0.
SQL Server continues to take up more and more memory and at this time has allocated about 1.5 GB of the 2GB available." |
