Hi,I need to re-install our production SQL Server (v 7.0) and have a question...I am clear about the backup and restoring of databases including orphaned users, however how do I backup the server itself? I mean all the logins that will need adding, jobs, maintenance plans, operators, etc... My SQL manual only gives details about about backing up/restoring databases, can anyone point me in the direction of any documentation on this issue?TIA- Phil.

Phil, are you taking backups of the masterdb, model, etc.. because that is where all such information is held.

Thought that may be the case but wasn't 100% sure. Just to clarify then, all operators, logins, jobs, etc.. are in master, model & msdb databases?Thanks.- Phil.
