I have a new app comming in, SalesLogix. They say they need SA to set up remote workstations. I will not hand it out, plus when we migrate to SQL 2005 I will disable the SA user. Has any one else had this issue?

Tell them they're smoking crack. That's what I tell vendors who are so obviously stupid. I've never had to give that out, nor would I. The application shouldn't be using SA at all. If it is, they need to rewrite it.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA.

can you just provide them with dbo instead of sa just to set up their database if any (which is the only reason why they need sa)--------------------keeping it simple...
