before :
backup transaction cc3 to disk = 'E:\daily_backups\cc3_transaction.bkp' with noinit

use cc3
Insert into work_prod_job_history (jobname, schedule, Completion_date, Status)
Values ('CC3_rgg_Test', 'Daily ', getdate(), 'Started')
Go
backup transaction cc3 to disk = 'E:\daily_backups\cc3_transaction.bkp' with noinit
go
gives me a : Incorrect syntax near 'backup'. error
If i just do the insert,it runs fine. Or do an insert after the backup, it seems to run fine, but I can't seem to mix them together.
We are running sql server 7.0
