| RSW writes "While checking my task manager to see why PC is running slowly, I noticed that the largest process running was sqlservr.exe. Am wondering if this is a legitimate process (I am not running SQL of any kind I know of)or whether it is the result of a virus/trojan attack. Do you have any ideas or pointers that could enlighten me?Thanks" |

| This is the sql server service. You have sql server installed and running on the m/c.Stop it if you don't need it.If you don't have sp3 installed you have probably been infected which is why the m/c is running slowly.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
