Mala writes "Hi,

In one of the server I am unable to restore from backup file.
It allows to restore for new database created. But my old db's it won't. I mean it is not showing 'Original File Name' and 'Restore as ' Option at all. (I tried even from QA, but in vain)

Is there any set command is there with which we can restrict restore ? In what situations it may behave like this ?

Regards,
Mala"

Do your old DB's already exist on the server, i.e. you are trying to restore without the "replace" parameter?

Please give us the error message, and the SQL you used to try and do the restore.
