We have been using SQL Server Agent's DB Maintenance Plan to backup DBs, etc. All has worked fine until a month ago. Most, but not all, jobs will show a status of "Executing Job Step '1(Step 1)" infinitely. The backups actually work, although no e-mails are sent for these jobs. Meanwhile, other jobs run fine and send the notification e-mail. We are using MS Outlook 2000 client and MS Exchange Server. The "problem jobs" are running against 3 different databases. Meanwhile, the jobs which work correctly are also running against some of the same databases.Any ideas or suggestions as to how to isolate the problem source will be most appreciated." |
