Hi.

I want to upgrade a dev server to sp3a so I can install and test SQL Report Service. Currently I want to avoid upgrading the main server. But a friend told me that I may encounter compatibility problems with Enterprise Manager if I try to handle an sql server upgrated to sp3a and one more that it isn't updated. Is this true?
Thanks in advance....

It certainly was true with SQL Server 7.0 when using DTS. It is still recommended to have the client and the database server to be at the same service pack level, but it's not as important anymore.
