Does anyone know why Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) doesn't load up at the startup. I have to run a program that requires MSDE to be present in the system tray. I am running XP Pro for some reason it doesn't start. However, before when i installed in a different computer it worked fine, its just giving me problem in this computer. |

check the MSSQL service in the services control panel. make sure it is set to automatic startup. You should also have a utility called "SQL Server Service Manager" that handles this automatically. -ec |
