Can you please specify the version of msde that you are trying and where did you modify the instancename. as it is different in MSDE version 1.0 and teh msde that comes with sqlserver 2000Anuj |

Most current version of MSDE from Ms download center.Not the 2005 beta.Instancename is a option in the command line of the original setup.JimUsers <> Logic |
