| HelloIm running dbcc shrinkfile(1) and 2 from sql query analyser. But it takes for ever, but when i do the shrink db from the enterprise menu , It takes few minutes. is there any other way to shrink db from T-SQLThanks |

| Bear in mind that when you run the shrink db from the enterprise manager it is most likely running a different type of shrink from the one that you are saying takes a long time. The amounts of space regained would not be the same. If you actually go into the detail on EM and choose to shrink the files to a certain size it would probably take as long.-------Moo. :) |
