| Does anyone know if the full text services actually use resources if they are started? The feature it installed on the server but we do not currently use it. The services are started. If I right click the full-text service from enterprise manager and choose properties, then click the performance tab there is a slider-bar setting that reads: SYSTEM RESOURCE USAGE. The bar goes from background to dedicated and the default setting is in the middle. This leads me to believe that it does dedicate some resources to itself even though there are no full-text indexes setup.Does that sound about right?DanielSQL Server DBA |
