i have gone through BOL and some articles on recovery model but was unable to find out the ans for same.

Because it does not need it. The changes in the transaction log are cleared shortly after they are made and when the transactions have been written to the database. Making your recovery mode simple assumes you do not want to recover to the point of failure and that you are OK with only recovering to the last full DB backup. Theredore transaction logs and the space they consume are not neccesary. This should not be used in production environments.

Please backup all of your databases including master, msdb and model on a regular basis. I am tired of telling people they are screwed. The job you save may be your own.

I am available for consulting work. Just email me through the forum.
