Michael writes "I can truly use your assistance. We have an issue that no one including Microsoft has been able to solve.

Operating system: Windows 2003

SQL Version: Standard with sp 4 installed

Machine: Duel Processor 2.8 - 4 Meg Ram

We are set up to do transactional replication between two SQL servers. About once a week and now about once a day at random times replication stops and gives us the following error.

An access violation occurred.

Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.

(Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Data Pump (); Error number: )

We have tried increasing vram. That doesn’t help. When this happens a reboot of the system running the replication clears the error and replication restarts. Occasionally we have to restart it manually. When we research the situation we are told that this is a bug that is fixed in sp3 and sp4. We installed sp4 when the machine was first installed.

Any help is appreciated. Myself and my team have been pulling out our hair for 3 weeks now. No one including Microsoft has come up with anything to help.

Thank you"

Look in the \LOG directory. Is there a sqlXXXXX.txt file there? If so, can you post it please?
