| Suketu writes "When I try to install on my XP operating system. It gives me a msg saying doesn't support the operating system and only clinet tools can be installed. Would I have to install windows 2000 and if I partition my operating system will it work for me." |

| the workgroup, standard and enterprise editions of sql server can only be installed on server class operating systems.the developer edition and personal edition of sql server can be installed on winxp. btw, personal edition ships with enterprise edition. But I would recommend you use the developer edition since it has all the features of enteprise ed.-ec |
