one of my db table just got corrupted. is it possible to restore just the table from full backup? Thanks

unfortunately that is not possible.

restore your backup to a newly created database (call it restored_database) and then pull the data you need from the restored copy.

That's one of the things that I miss from SQL Server 6.5. You could restore just a table in that version. A couple of years ago, someone posted why it changed but I can't remember the details now.
