You can't backup a database in 2005 and restore it in 2000. You can go the other way around though, from 2000 to 2005.Tara |

Hallo Tara, thank you for help!In fact I discovered that I do not have the rights to restor a db on the sql-server of my hoster. So I have a new question :-) How may I export data from my local sql-server (2005) and import it into the sql-server (2000) of my hoster? For example I could create an sql-file with all table and data info and then put it into the db at my hoster - but how to do this?Thank you for any help!Regards, Fabianmy favorit hoster is ASPnix : www.aspnix.com ! |

You can use Integration Services, which is the DTS replacement in 2005. I don't have any details on IS as I haven't used it.Tara |
