| I have a well functioning database under Access 2003, and installed the MSDE from the Access disk, in order to upsize that database. I can see the MSDE engine in my systemtray. When upsizing with the appropriate parameters set, the Access wizard converts the tables but not the data. I have no idea what happens, because even to a very simple database the same happens: table is converted but not the data. I tried on three different computers with Windows XP. What can be wrong, or what can I do wrong? |

| During the upsizing process there is a checkbox that says, upsize table structure only? make sure that box is not checked.Also if you have a "well functioning" .mdb as you mentioned, make sure you are willing to handle the changes upsizing brings. What will work in an Access .mdb query may or may not work in an .adp view. If you are willing to learn, good luck. VictoriaPS I just went thru the process and it worked fine; WinXP Pro, Access .mdb to .adp no problem.Did your install of the SQL server engine go ok? |
