Michael Rock writes "In Microsoft Sql Server 2000, Analysis Services in the Cube Editor or elsewhere...In the Insert menu/toolbar there is supposed to be a selection to insert Calculated Cells (after Calculated Member). My installation does not have this entry. Do you know how it can be shown, short of a complete reinstall?I tried updating to Service Pack 4, but that did not help.Maybe it's hidden, depending on some condition? I see no way to add it to the toolbar (customize). |

I was able to resolve this in my setup: Apparently there was a prior install of personal edition on the machine, which was uninstalled but not cleaned up before they installed EE over it. Not cleaning it up properly left some old Personal Edition DLL's which do not get overwritten by EE installer. So therefore even with EE I was unable to see Calculated Cells. I uninstalled AS again, but this time cleaned it up myself thoroughly and reinstalled EE and everything worked. Hope this helps your situation. |
