ok - got to Add/Remove Programs and select Remove for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. You'll get a wizard that lists the instances on your machine. Select the one called SQLEXPRESS and you can uninstall just that one.ThanksPaul RandalLead Program Manager, Microsoft SQL Server Storage Engine(Legalese: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.) |

This looks like a setup bug. You can either call PSS, or we can attempt to debug this over the forum - no guarantees. If you want to go the latter route, kill setup and look in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG to see if there are any log files (substitute your install path if different)Paul RandalLead Program Manager, Microsoft SQL Server Storage Engine(Legalese: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.) |

Very strange. There's certainly a problem with the uninstaller - I'll file a bug. Glad it worked eventually - quite often setup problems go away the 2nd time through, but that's still a problem we don't want to see.Don't know much about RS - suggest you post in the RS forum here.ThanksPaul RandalLead Program Manager, Microsoft SQL Server Storage Engine + SQL Express(Legalese: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.) |
