Just what it says really. Is Enterprise Manager the only tool for creating and editing DTS packages in SQL Server 2000?I have a group of users in another Dept that need to have the ability to write DTS packages, and they were given Access to Enterprise manager to do so, however they have discovered that they can use it to do other things The manager of the other department thinks that it is ok for them to do this, and I don't get enough backup from my management (We must keep the customers happy).Does anyone know if there are any other DTS design tools out there? Failing that is there anyway of disabling parts of the Enterprise Manager mmc plugin to prevent inappropriate use of the other parts of EM?-- RegardsTony The DBA |

They can only use the other parts of EM if they have permission to do so. Deny access to the relevant areas on the server.-------Moo. :) |

or provide them with another box to "play" around, then whatever changes they made, these must go through you as DBA and you apply them in the productions server --------------------keeping it simple... |
