The obvious disadvantages would be that you gain no memory advantages, which is the main reason for going with 64-bit. And, no, I don't believe it's possible. Let me know if you find out MS screwed up something bad enough to let you though.

I remember being given the option when I installed it originally on my machine, but didnt try. I might though when I get a chance and let y ou guys know.
