Srikant writes "Is it possible to have SQL Mail on SQL server without having MS Exchange Server.
Description:
I have SQL server(SQL 2000) on my machine (Windows 2000 professional). I want to use it as a Mail server. The E-mail id which i want to use may not be residing on MS-Exchange Server. It might be on Unix System.
I have created a profile in outlook. I want to use the same as my reply id for the mail i will be sending thru the SQL server.
Problem:-
1)This profile is not shown in the list of profile, available while configuring SQL Mail.
2) I have seen in the MS site that SQL Mail logo, in Support services, is having red dot on it, same we find when sql server is stopped. This red dot not found on my machine. whether in SQL 2000 its been removed.
Expecting for early reply
Thanx & Regards Srikant" |
