David Uhl writes "Is there a way to open, edit, parse, or export a corrupt Data or Transaction Log?
Here's the situation:
Hard Database shutdown (Power Outage). When database comes up, it is marked suspect. What is the procedure to bring the database online and parse or export the data and/or transaction logs? If you can parse or export the Transaction Logs, how to make SQL load them into the data.
ps. I know parts of this can be done...just seeing if you can get it.
Hardware/Software:
Plenty of disk space, memory, and CPUs WinNT4 w/sp6a or Win2k Gold SQL 7.0 sp2 Resource Kits and Development Kits are avail.
I'll send you a buck if you can complete the entire process (without getting ahold of the MS SQL 7 developers)." |
