I have one machine using Enterprise(personal edition) and another using Express Edition. I tried everything but I could not manage connecting from Enterprise to Express Edition. I have the question:

Can I connect from Enterprise to Express
If I can how can I?

I looking forward for help...

When you say "connect from Enterprise to Express", what do you mean. Are you trying to just connect from the SS Management Studio or are you trying to link servers, or ...

You can't connect from Enterprise Manager to any SQL 2005 Instance. You need Management Studio for the same (SQL 2005 Client tools)

SQL Server Management Studio Express will help me what you say. Unfortunately I cannot install it because of other reasons (framework 2.0 is required but I have to use framework 1.1). Can you suggest another way if any? Thanks...

You can have multiple versions of the .NET framework installed. I have v1.1 and v2 on my laptop.

Well, I know 1.1 & 2.0 can be both installed but I'm using a framework developed in .NET environment and in some cases having 1.1 & 2.0 installed at the same time creates some unexpected problems.
