| Are there any concerns for upgrading from MSDE to Express? Anything that has to be done to the database itself?I will be uninstalling MSDE completely so I can reuse the instance name to minimize issues with other programs already setup for it. This means that I will be installing Express, basically, clean on the machine. What I am worried about is anything that needs to happen to the db itself, changing compatability levels and such.Thank you in advance for any help. |

| If you want to use SQL Server 2005 features, then you would need to change compatibility level to 90 after you do the restore or attach of the 2000 database. Otherwise, I can't think of anything that would need to be changed.Hopefully, you have a test environment though where you can test this.Tara Kizer |
