| Aaron Abend writes "I have a SQL 2000 database using a network storage device. I looked in the logs and see that the database could not find one of the datafiles (error 823) at 11:27:03 (last thursday). But the logs then indicate that the database recovered by 11:28:30. I was working on the database at the time running a benchmark, but do not recall any problems. Does SQL 2000 automatically recover from this kind of error (given that there was nothing wrong with the files)? Is it alternatively possible that in Enterprise Manager I recovered the database "accidentally" by clicking on it and starting it (in the same way a server can start when you click on it if it was not already started). Thanks!" |
