Is it possible to create a link to file path? I have a report that has file paths. What I wanted to do is if they click on the link it will open up the file where the file path is. Is this possible? When I try doing a navigation it says that I can only use http://, https://, FTP://, News:, etc. only. The files are located on a network drive that I want to be able to open from by clicking on the link. For example: \\domain\file\savedfile\Sample.pdfAny suggestions? |

How would using a url work if I have a folder on the network with a DNS path? I can't use http://server/file/savedfile/Sample.pdf.The DNS path is set as \\server\file\savedfile\Sample.pdf. That does not work with the URL navigation feature in Reporting Services. So to get what I'm getting I need to set my folder as a web folder in IIS? There's folder all over the network with the DNS pointing to different location. For example:\\Server1\file\Savedfile\Sample.pdf\\Server1\file2\Savedfile2\Sample1.pdf\\Server3\file\Savedfile\Sample3.pdfBasically what I'm after is as if it's opening a file from my C drive. ex. "C:\Sample.pdf"So if you click on the field "C:\Sample.pdf" as a link it will open the pdf from that location. |
