Hi,

we are having Problems after the installation of SP2 on our Test- Server.
After installing the Service Pack 2 the following Services don't start:

- SQL Server Browser
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SQL2K5)

Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? The Event Viewer only shows the following Message:

The SQL Server Browser service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

It's CTP so it will be a bit fragile.
Are they using the local system account?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

The "SQL Server Browser" uses the Local System Account, yes.
The "SQL Server Analysis Services" and others use a "Service Account" which is in the local "Administrators" group.
