hi,
Has anyone installed the Service Pack 1 on their sql production system and seen any error messages?

The reason i ask is because my production system spike to 100% and just stays. The funny thing is that it does not slow the system. User can still make connection to system. No memory or any OS related errors appears on my event log window..
I wanted to know if Service Pack 1 fix this issue or not..
thanks in advance for any suggestions..

when is last time u rebuilt indexes? as in other forum, your problem is almost certainly index/query related.

what are hardware specifics of system (CPU speed, #cpu, I/O subsystem, RAM, OS) ? and how many transactions are executed? how many concurrent users? is this a dedicated sql box, or is something else runnng on it too?

anyway, as to the question, no problems related to SP1 on my servers...

i assume u mean cpu spike to 100% right? how are u measuring this? taskmgr? if cpu at 100% it is going to slow the system... is this a multi-cpu box?
