| Hi friends, I am backing up the database using the Database Maintenance Plan. Everything is in place. I want to save the file name in the format yyyy-mm-dd_finbck.bak. how can i assign the date from here itself ? this should be done through the DB maintenance plan only. is it possible ? can we assign the date to the backup file through the DB maintenence plan ? kindly guide.Regards,Amit |

| "SQL2005 database maintenance plan automatically assigns a date and etc to database backup files names"SQL 2000 too if I'm not mistaken."i havent exactly understood what u have said."Maintenance Wizard will create "unique" filenames for backups by including the date and time in the filename.Kristen |
