| i am getting an error while i try restore the .bak file"The media family on device 'D:\tst\testdb.BAK' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family.RESTORE HEADERONLY is terminating abnormally. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 3241)thanks for the help |

| I think backup is not bad. The SQL server version is different. backups are not backward compatible. For example if the backup is created using SQL2008, you cannot restore it on SQL2005. You get SQL error 3241 - Restore Headeronly is terminating abnormally. |
