| Hi there SQL TeamWe have 2 server both using win 2003 Server and SQL 2005Both of these sit behind a firewall. All traffic in both direction are allowed for both servers on both firewallsServer 1 SQL listens on Port 2043Server 2 SQL listens on Port 1433Server 2 is trying to use SQL Management Studio to connect to Server 1 and it fails?A telnet From Server2 to Server 1 on port 2043 works 100%Server 1 allows remote SQL connections.Server 1 = 196.x.x.x\SQL2005Can someone please assist in getting this to work? Our Network guy at Server 1 Firewall 1 says that he can not see any traffic coming from Server 2; he can however see the telnet connection. Please also note that if Server 2 tries to connect to our 2000 SQL instance listening on 1433 it works 100% |
