Cannot connect server

i have installed SQL Server management studio
when i attempt to connect to report services server i get the following error

client found response content type text/html;expected text/xml

i cant find where i might have went wrong in installation or report server configuration
am new to reporting services so plz help me on this regard

What do GOOGLE tell you?
I ran into this problem three weeks ago and found the answer by Google.

can u tell me how did u rectified the problem
coz i didnt get any valuable information when i googled regarding it.

when i attempted to open http://ServerName/ReportServer
i got the foolowing error
can anybody follow what could be
am new to reporting services so couldnt trace what coould be wrong
