Ever since upgrading SQL Server 2005 to SP2 build 3050 all my maintenance plans which begin with a Check Database Integrity Task are failing! If I remove the task from the plan they all execute properly. If I run the T-SQL equivalent manually it executes properly.

I upgraded the server to build 3054 and rebooted several times and Im still having no luck. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help with this.

Is MARS a sql instance name? Tried recreate plan after patching? I just can't reproduce it on my servers.

Yes, Mars is our SQL 2005 installation. Within this instance we have mutiple databases. The error occurs on all maintenance plans regardless of the database its assigned to.
Yes, in my frustration I completely deleted all plans and recreated them all. It still doesnt function properly.

Interestingly enough we do not have this problem on our other sql installations...

Figured it out based on another post in the forum:

Even though the SQL server was running sp2 (version 9.0.3054) the client that I was accessing the server with through Management Studio on my workstation was running version 9.0.3042. Everytime I would create the maintenance plans from my workstation it would fail. After upgrading my workstation Management Studio (the tools) to 9.0.3054 the problem went away!

I've been told that the latest version of Studio Management was 3042 and that there is no 3054, I installed the CU Hotfix 10 and selected to updated tools and workstation components but the Management Studio remained at 3042. how did you upgrade it?

I installed it through Microsoft Update. Once I ran it under the category for SQL Server, there was an optional update to the workstation tools which I downloaded and installed.
