| Seehttp://www.nigelrivett.net/sqlserverdevelopment.htmlhttp://www.nigelrivett.net/SQLServerReleaseControl.htmhttp://www.nigelrivett.net/DMO/DMOScriptAllDatabases.htmlhttp://www.nigelrivett.net/DMO/AddToSourceSafe.htmlI usually end up using Sourcesafe and agree it has a few failings but it's usually the process that's the problem rather than the product. It needs a commitment from everyone involved and needs to be policed. Don't assume that nothing is going to go wrong or that you can put in place a process that covers every eventuality. Make sure that you have a means for checking what has happened and to add things to the process after the event.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| Hi, I recommend you take a look at Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Hosted or SourceAnywhere Standalone, with which you can easily implement your own version control for MS SQL 2000/2005 objects. They also support integration into MS SQL 2005 or TOAD Tool well. For more information: http://www.dynamsoft.com/Products/SAWhosted_Overview.aspxhttp://www.dynamsoft.com/Products/SAWstandalone_Overview.aspxThanks.Catherine Seawww.dynamsoft.comThe leading developer of version control and issue tracking software |
