| Hi All, I’m having an intermittent problem with SQL server 2005 and vb.net program (Using ADO.net)On our test server it all works fine (no errors), but on a Live PC/system they can log in fine, and generally use the software but during a feature that is doing a lot of database work after around the same number of records we get the error below. Give or take a few hundred records.This same function has worked about 8 times now with no errors so it appears to be an intermittent problem. But it fails more times then it works. Error:[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.Thanks in advance for any help/AdviceAudioillity |

| put a try catch around the code and see what the stack trace gives you.also are you trying to open an already opened connection?use using when dealing with connections. | Thanks for the advice - i think it may have been solved, im just waiting for our guys to check it out, if its ok or not ill let you know. (im not a programmer on this project.) |
