| Hii wanna connect to a server that is installed with domain registration and using both sql and windows authentication.on this server i have created database and login for that respective database,but when i am trying to connect this server it gives me error. The login that i m using is able to connect when i m trying to connect server from console of the server.Please help me..Chander |

| Yes the browser service needs to be enabled and started.If that doesn't get rid of the error, try adding an alias to the client using SQL Server Configuration Manager.Tara Kizerhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |

| Hi Tarayes administrator is the instance name more:--They are using Plask for security , because of that i think this is happens, because i have already check every thing on the server but i dnt have knowledge of Plask. Can u please tell me something abt plesk security ? Thanks chander |

| I have no idea what Plask is. You should contact them for more information.You probably can fix this with an alias though, but you seem to be ignoring my posts that mention this. Search the forums for my detailed explanations of aliases.
